Currently based in Stockholm, by way of Saint-Petersburg and Novosibirsk — a trajectory that makes perfect sense if you don’t think about it too hard.
The Professional Bit#
I architect infrastructure for a living. This is a polished way of saying I spend considerable effort ensuring distributed systems communicate without incident, deployments don’t become obituaries, and the 3 AM pages remain someone else’s problem.
A decade in IT, roughly half of it in the DevOps realm. I’ve accumulated opinions about Kubernetes, developed a complicated relationship with YAML, and built tools when existing ones proved insufficiently intelligent for the task at hand.
I value competence. I have limited patience for its absence.
The Other Thing#
I sing. Rock, specifically — the kind where you need both technique and therapy. Corey Taylor’s work features prominently in my repertoire, alongside other artists who’ve made careers out of controlled vocal destruction.
It’s a serious pursuit, despite what the word “amateur” might suggest. The timeline merely hasn’t aligned yet — but it will.
This Space#
A repository for technical observations, occasional philosophical tangents, and the rare admission that something I built didn’t work the first time.
The goal is usefulness. If something here saves you an hour or sparks an idea, that’s the point. Memorability is a secondary concern, though I won’t complain if both occur.
